Thank you for making this video. I have mentioned every point you cover in comments to many videos since the termination announcement and entered into discussions with both Buddies and company stans over the points that I have raised. You summarise most of them here and explain why Buddies are sad but even madder at Source Music. I believe that Source Music were as shocked as GFriend were when they discovered that their contracts were being terminated. The decision came from Hybe who have full control over Source Music. They are the puppet master and SM have to dance to their tune. Scooter Braun joined the board of Hybe as a an executive member as a condition of selling his company to Big Hit for $1.2 million in February 2021. His family are conservative Jews and this is a well known fact. However how mad must he have been to see the Nazi controversy surrounding Sowon at the time of the sale. Once he had the power to axe them he did. Big Hit already had a similar Nazi controversy with BTS a few years ago which is why they felt too embarrassed to intervene. Source Music were also to blame for the controversy so he punished them too by making the break up as sudden and as unexpected for them as it was for GFriend. They are now getting all the hate from Buddies but I feel that Source Music are innocent parties to all this and Hybe should be getting the anger directed at them instead. But Scooter is happy as he has got his revenge on GFriend only a few weeks after joining the board of Hybe and has also stitched up Source Music as well so they get all the blame for what happened not him nor his company. Source Music have always been very close to GFriend like family so I am sure that they never wanted this to happen but in the end had no choice in the matter. Do what Hybe tells you to do or we will get rid of you (the CEO)and hire someone who will do our dirty work. My theory makes sense of everything that doesn’t make sense otherwise. I have yet to see anyone else explain any other reason why what happened make sense. Mago has over 53 million views and album sales hit record levels so disbanding them made no commercial sense to me and the new girl group will get no love from Buddies when they debut when they would have had an immediate fan club of millions otherwise from supportive Buddies.
